USA TO BE REPRESENTED AT OIC
The United States has for the first time appointed its representative to the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
He is Sada Kumber, a businessman of Pakistani origin and one of the country’s top executives in the field of high technologies, the US Embassy in Baku said.
After his meeting with Sada Kumber, 27 February, President George Bush said the goal was to explain to the Islamic world that America is the friend of freedom, the friend of peace. He, in particular, noted that it is an important assignment. There are, according to him, a number of erroneous views about America in the world and Mr. Sada will assist us in this cause.
Sada Kumber will be the first representative to the 57-member inter-governmental Organization for strengthening of political, socio-economic, cultural and scientific cooperation among the Moslem countries, to explain the truth about America, Dana Perino, the White House spokesman underlined. Dana Perino stated that this step of Mr. Bush is a token to achieve larger dialogue with the OIC and the world Moslems.
Sada Kumber, born in 1951, in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1978 has moved to the United States and where in 1986 received citizenship. Sada, successful businessman, in these years, has founded 6 enterprises and currently lives in the city of Austin, state of Texas.
