"STAR" TV CHANNEL WILL GIVE ITS APOLOGIES TO AZERBAIJANI NATION AND PRESIDENT HEYDAR ALIYEV
The Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, Ibrahim Yagubov gave a short interview to the correspondent of AzerTaj, saying in particular, that according to the Resolution of the Turkish Radio and TV Supreme Board, “Star” TV channel will express its apologies to the people of Azerbaijan and President Heydar Aliyev for a report on the state of health of the Azerbaijani President full of false information and slander. The TV channel has to apologize in front of the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul, he said.
Besides, the TV channel will give a detailed report on the released news to the Radio and TV Supreme Board of Turkey. After the Board gets this report, they will discuss the item and undertake relevant measure against the “Star” TV.
It should be reminded that ‘Star” TV channel was closed for one month. However, as a result of the above-mentioned resolution, the activities of the TV channel will, possible, be prohibited for longer period of time or after they start working, broadcast will be stopped after a while again.
