U.S. companies’ participation in Azerbaijan’s priority initiatives discussed

Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with visiting U.S. delegations led by Rebecca Neff, Senior Advisor at the Department of State’s Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, and Sara Leming, Country Manager for Europe & Eurasia at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).
The discussions highlighted the elevation of Azerbaijan–U.S. relations to a strategic partnership level, as well as the favorable environment created to strengthen economic cooperation. The parties also emphasized the need to more effectively harness the existing potential for collaboration.
The discussions covered energy corridors, the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) initiative, and opportunities for cooperation within the economic and commercial pillars of the Strategic Partnership Charter. The sides reviewed prospects for U.S. companies’ participation in infrastructure and transport projects in the country, as well as in initiatives related to digitalization, artificial intelligence, and other priority sectors.
The meeting also addressed prospects for promoting mutual investment and broadening cooperation in innovation and technology. Both sides expressed their interest in continuing cooperation to further develop economic and trade relations and to implement joint projects.
