Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Office meets chief of Iraqi parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations
Baku, January 19 (AZERTAC). Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has today met visiting the Iraqi delegation led by chief of the parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations Humam Hamoody.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral and religious relations.
Allahshukur Pashazade said the friendly and fraternal ties between Azerbaijan and Iraq were successfully developing.
The Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office underlined the necessity of facilitating the pilgrimage to Iraq.
The Sheikhulislam briefed Humam Hamoody on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He also thanked Iraq for supporting Azerbaijan`s fair stance.
Humam Hamoody talked about the situation in Iraq.
The Iraqi chief of the parliamentary Committee praised successful development of cooperation between the two countries.
He added Azerbaijan plays important role in the region.
Humam Hamoody also congratulated Azerbaijan on election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
