“Akkord” corporation receives “The top company of the year in the Southern Caucasus and Central Asia” award
Baku, April 20 (AZERTAC.) Azerbaijan`s “Akkord” corporation has received “The top company of the year in the Southern Caucasus and Central Asia” award and the medal for the best management.
The corporation was awarded on April 11 in London in the European Business Summit (EBS) organized by the Europe Business Assembly (EBA). Nearly 200 companies from over 50 countries gathered to the Summit. Akkord’s nomination was due to the researches and surveys made by EBA’s research center.
Besides Azerbaijan, Akkord is implementing a number of projects in Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey. A branch office of the Corporation functions in Frankfurt, Germany too. The total revenue of the projects realized by Akkord has reached over 1,7 billions USD. Estimated costs of the on-going highway, tunnel, bridge, water supply and canalization construction projects reaches to 1.9 billions USD. Akkord has gained an important experience in realization of projects financed by the World Bank, the European Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Islamic Development Bank and other international financial institutes.
