Colombian media highlights “ASAN Khidmet” model
Baku, February 2, AZERTAC
Las2orillas, one of Colombia’s leading media platforms, has published an extensive article about the “ASAN Khidmet” model, which is recognized as Azerbaijan’s successful experience in the field of government services.
The article, titled “The Azerbaijani model that President Petro relies on to address long queues in every field,” discusses the prospects for applying this model in Colombia and the innovations it can create in the organization of public services.
The publication emphasizes that the first step has already been taken towards the implementation of the internationally proven "ASAN Khidmet" model in Colombia. A memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies of Colombia and the Azerbaijani side in February 2025 envisages the simplification and innovative development of public services. It is noted that Colombia could become the first country in Latin America to implement this model.
The article provides detailed information on the activities of "ASAN Khidmet," which was created in 2012 on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev as part of institutional reforms aimed at modernizing public administration. It highlights citizen satisfaction ratings and the growing international interest in the model. The publication notes that this approach, which ensures the provision of public and private services based on the "single window" principle, yields effective results in terms of transparency and efficiency.
The author further emphasizes that inclusivity is one of the main pillars of the model. Through the implementation of the "ASAN Mobile" system and the activities of "ASAN Radio" and "ASAN TV," trust between the state and society is strengthened, while citizen awareness and public participation are promoted.
The article also highlighted the prestigious international awards the model has received, noting that it has already been successfully implemented in several countries. It states that the ASAN model has made a very positive impression on the Colombian side, with practical steps expected soon within the framework of bilateral cooperation.
The implementation of the ASAN model in Colombia is framed as a strategic, transformative initiative rather than a simple transfer of administrative technology. It aims to reshape state-citizen relations by ensuring that efficiency, transparency, and human dignity become the cornerstones of public service delivery.
