Cooperation between the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and Uzbekistan discussed

The President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhromjon Aloyev, as part of the "Days of Shusha" organized by the organization in Tashkent. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Huseyn Guliyev took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, it was pointed out that Uzbekistan's chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States this year will play an important role in the development of the comprehensive cooperation of the country with the Turkic states, as well as with the Turkic Cooperation Organizations. The large-scale activities of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, one of the Turkic Cooperation Organizations, aimed at strengthening friendly and brotherly relations between the Turkic countries, were mentioned. The Foundation attaches great importance to mutual relations with Uzbekistan, and attention was brought the projects implemented in this direction. The importance of publications published by the Foundation, various events and conferences organized in the country aimed at the advancement of the culture of Uzbekistan at the international level was noted. The series of events held by the Foundation in Tashkent in order to promote the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Shusha, which has the status of the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2023, was evaluated as a step towards bringing Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan closer to each other.
The meeting continued with the exchange of views on the implementation of joint projects in the direction of continuing active cooperation between the organization and Uzbekistan.
