PROBLEM OF TERRORISM CAUSED WIDE DISCUSSIONS AT PACE SESSION
In the statement made by the head of delegation of Azerbaijan Samad Seyidov has emphasized that the terrorism represents real threat for democracy, and it is necessary to reveal groundless reasons causing acts of terrorism, to apply serious sanctions, including attraction to the judicial responsibility by means of the international tribunal, concerning the states, the organizers financing the terrorists. He has told that if not struggle against terrorism, just tomorrow here, in the center of Europe, acts of terrorism, which become the reason of destruction of thousand people, will be committed.
In detail informing that the Republic of Azerbaijan also has undergone terrorist acts, S. Seyidov has told: “Armenia occupying 20 percents of our territories, has made a number of terrorist acts against Azerbaijan as a result of which was lost more than two thousand peaceful people. Armenia, being a member of such an authoritative organization as the Council of Europe, has created at the occupied territories camps for preparation of terrorists and uses the gangster groups there all-round preparation, for fulfillment of the acts of terrorism. For any reason, the structure using double standards in some questions, turns blind eye to it, does not accept any measures concerning the country, which have created favorable conditions for the international terrorism.
The Azerbaijan deputy has especially emphasized that our country repeatedly colliding with bitter consequences of terror, was one of the states, which have supported combat against the international terrorism, and has declared, that Azerbaijan has resolutely condemned the terrorist actions menacing to mankind, democracy, and conducts serious struggle against them.

On January 28 and 29, head of the Azerbaijan delegation has met the reporter on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and Nagorno Karabakh problem Terry Davis. At the meeting, discussed were issue connected to the visit by T. Devis to Azerbaijan late February.
