“Singing traditions of Karabakh children can neither be forged, nor simulated", Firangiz Alizade

The “Luxemburg Wort” (Luxembourg) newspaper has published an article by Diana Hoffman dedicated to the opening of information bureau of the Azerbaijan Culture Association “Karabakh”.
The author in detail stops on achievements of Azerbaijan of the last 10 years in the field of policy, economy and culture, emphasizes impressive dynamics of development of “this small country in the Caucasian region”.
She also admires fascinating music performed by Imamyar Hasanov in kamanche.
Dwelling on speech of the Chairperson of the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan Frangiz Alizadeh, D. Hoffman speaks about the amazing fact which was told to attendees by the world famous composer.
Firangiz Alizade said: “Today in the families of refugees there are children who fantastically sing “Karabakh shikestesi” in the performing manner inherent in Karabakh singing school. Though they never saw Karabakh (as is known, more than 20 years Karabakh is under occupation of Armenia), in the genes they bear the singing tradition which can neither be forged, nor simulated”.
