As part of her visit to Kyrgyzstan, President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva has met with Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Altynbek Maksutov.
At the meeting the multifaceted activities of the Foundation was discussed, as well as the implementation of projects for 2023 with the Kyrgyz Republic, one of the founding countries of the organization.
During the conversation, the successful holding of the 7th International Festival of Traditional Epics of the Peoples of the World in Osh this May was noted, of which one of the main organizers was the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. The celebration by the Foundation of the 95th anniversary of great Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov and the staging of his play “Mother's Field” in Azerbaijani was highly appreciated. At the meeting the publication by the Foundation of the book of prominent Azerbaijani scientist and manaschi Adil Jamil “The Epic Manas and the Turkic Epic tradition" in Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz languages was emphasized. The publication of the book “Sagymbaydin Manasi” by famous Kyrgyz manaschi Rysbai Isakov with the joint cooperation of the Foundation and the Turkic academy, as well as the successful implementation of other projects of the organization with the participation of Kyrgyzstan was also discussed.
Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Altynbek Maksutov hailed the activities of the Foundation and expressed confidence in supporting further joint projects.
The meeting continued with an exchange of views on the future prospects of mutual cooperation.
