Ali Asadov: Thanks to President’s far-sighted and thoughtful policy, Azerbaijan achieved significant political and economic progress over past two decades

The 2026 state budget includes sufficient funds to finance investment-oriented state programs, said Prime Minister Ali Asadov as he addressed the plenary session of the Milli Majlis held on December 9.
Azerbaijan's Prime Minister highlighted the country's growing role as Eurasia's logistics hub, emphasizing modern infrastructure and global corridors, especially the crucial Zangezur Corridor, describing it as a vital part of the Middle Corridor and North-South Corridor.
He positioned renewable energy sources as today’s primary focus among the new areas, adding that projects in this area are attracting significant global investment.
Noting that Azerbaijan has established joint investment funds with several Central Asian countries and also investing in several friendly countries through the State Oil Fund and SOCAR, the PM emphasized that these funds will enable the implementation of numerous projects, the country will receive dividends, and economic growth will be spurred. He described the listed areas as a strategic projects that create a new development model and new growth drivers.
