Azerbaijan`s Education Minister meets Georgian counterpart
Baku, June 18 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Education Minister Misir Mardanov met with a Georgian delegation led by Minister of Education and Science Dimitri Shashkin.
The Azeri Minister spoke of relations between the two countries and development of educational cooperation. On preparation of textbooks for Azerbaijani schools in Georgia, Mardanov said Azerbaijani experts could actively participate in this process.
In his turn, the Georgian Minister noted the importance of expansion of bilateral relations. He provided information about progress achieved in upgrading facilities at Azerbaijani schools in Georgia.
Shashkin briefed his Azerbaijani counterpart on Georgia`s education system and reforms in the relevant sphere.
The parties exchanged views on organizing joint Olympiads, teaching of Azerbaijani language in Georgia and Georgian in Azerbaijan, and other issues.
Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan Teymuraz Sharashenidze was also present in the meeting.
