Pakistani Deputy PM meets with Turkish Foreign Minister in Jeddah

Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.
According to Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both leaders exchanged views on the latest geopolitical developments. Recalling the Turkish President's recent visit to Pakistan, they agreed to further deepen bilateral ties across various fields.
Earlier, the Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister participated in the Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the session, he strongly condemned the proposal to resettle Palestinians in other countries.
He emphasized the urgent need for global recognition of Palestine and the establishment of a sovereign and independent State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. Mohammad Ishaq Dar stressed the necessity of concrete measures to implement the two-state solution as the only viable path to achieving lasting peace in the region.
The OIC Council of Foreign Ministers convened its Extraordinary Session to address ongoing attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land. The session was held at the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Palestine, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah.
