Throughout history, Azerbaijan has been a unique space where various religions and cultures have coexisted in peace, mutual respect, and trust, said Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, as she addressed the 2nd Forum of Azerbaijani Religious Figures held in Baku.
“Holding this prestigious event for the second time underscores the importance of developing state–religion relations in Azerbaijan based on constitutional principles and safeguarding fundamental values such as secularism and freedom of conscience, which is aligned with the political course defined by President Ilham Aliyev,” Muradova added.
