Multiculturalism Center strengthens global partnerships

During the 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana, Kazakhstan, the Baku International Multiculturalism Center and Kazakhstan’s International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation in preserving religious and cultural diversity while fostering social unity. It outlines plans for joint research projects, scientific seminars, conferences, roundtables, the exchange of expertise in interreligious relations, the development of recommendations for state institutions, and internship programs for academic staff.
The agreement also supports joint participation in state grant competitions and scientific projects, with future collaboration to be developed by mutual consent.
At the signing ceremony, the memorandum was highlighted as a testament to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan’s commitment to global intercultural and interreligious dialogue. It is expected to bolster regional and international dialogue, promote Azerbaijan’s multiculturalism and tolerance traditions globally, and facilitate the study and promotion of Kazakhstan’s multi-confessional and multi-ethnic societal model.
