CSTO MEMBER STATES TO DEFEND EACH OTHER FROM ACTS OF AGGRESSION
As is reported, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states discussed the question of rendering military-technical assistance to the member states in case of threat of aggression, as well as military construction problems.
On October 4, the meeting of the Ministerial Council of foreign affairs of the CSTO member states passed in Dushanbe, where was considered a wide spectrum of questions and prospects of the further development of allied relations in a collective format. Focused were problems of military construction, a special-purpose designation of production of military purpose, and also rendering of the military-technical assistance in case of threat of aggression. Also were dicussed questions of registration of mechanisms for peace-making activity and prevention of illegal migration.
It has to be noted that Russia has greater hopes with CSTO, counting with its assistance to strengthen its strategic positions in the Central Asia and in the countries-allies, and also to transform it to the full international organization. Members of CSTO are Russia, Armenia, Belarus and all Central Asian countries, except for Turkmenistan.
As is known, the Republic of Azerbaijan is not CSTO member for basic reasons in connection with the fact that the country-aggressor Armenia is also its member.
