Nizami Ganjavi International Center organizes high-level event on sidelines of Munich Security Conference

A high-level event themed "Multilateralism in a Fractured Global Order Format" was organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center on the margins of the Munich Security Conference.
The roundtable discussion focused on preserving the effectiveness and legitimacy of multilateralism amidst current geopolitical fragmentation, and potential reforms in the UN's activities after 80 years.
The event was attended by about 40 high-level figures from over 15 countries, including senior UN officials, former heads of state and government, ministers, executives of regional organizations, and leading strategic experts.
The sessions were addressed by Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Climate Issues and COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev; Chairman of Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies of Saudi Arabia Prince Turki AlFaisal; Boris Tadić, former President of Serbia; former Senegalese President of Macky Sall; European Union Special Representative for Central Asia Eduards Stiprais; President of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés; First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Sodiq Safoyev, and Austria's former Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.
During a dedicated lunch session, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations; former Secretary-General of the Arab League Amr Moussa; former Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni; former Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou; President of the United Nations General Assembly's 72nd session Miroslav Lajčák; First Deputy Secretary of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan Eldor Aripov, and Secretary-General of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center Rovshan Muradov shared their views on the future areas of global collaboration.
Discussions revolved around the emerging collaborative frameworks in Central Asia and the South Caucasus, the growing strategic importance of the Trans-Caspian connection, the role of post-conflict normalization processes and regional initiatives.
