He said Polish architects constructed beautiful buildings in Baku in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, adding Polish specialists also contributed to development of Azerbaijan’s oil industry.
The Azerbaijani Speaker described the bilateral relations between the two countries as rapidly developing.
Oqtay Asadov said the talks held and documents signed during reciprocal visits by the two countries’ leaders laid foundation for enhancement of the bilateral ties.
“Therefore, today, our political, economic, trade and cultural relations are developing. Our inter-parliamentary ties are also strengthening. There is an Azerbaijan-Poland friendship group in the Milli Majlis”, the Azeri Speaker added.
Mr. Asadov also spoke of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, stressing his country wants the dispute to be peacefully solved.
“Armenia should fulfill the United Nations Security Council’s resolutions and withdraw from the occupied territory. If peace talks have no results, we will liberate our lands by other means”, the Speaker noted.

Mr. Borusewicz said his accompanying delegation includes parliamentarians and businessmen, and “they will meet with their Azerbaijani counterparts to discuss ways of further boosting the bilateral relations”.
