The exhibition will run from 10-13 November 2011 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) and is organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Jewellery aficionados can browse unique treasures from over 300 different exhibitors representing more than 25 countries including Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Lebanon, Singapore, Turkey, Thailand and USA.

Visitors can relax and enjoy the plush surroundings of the VIP Pearl Lounge while admiring the precious items on display, including a 99 carat Dubai Cut diamond, a 300 carat pear-shaped yellow sapphire which is one of the largest in the world, and a selection of fine rubies and emeralds. Pearl Lounge sponsor Mouawad has loaned the world`s most expensive diamond encrusted clutch, known as the “1001 Nights Diamond Purse”, which is worth $3.8 million. Sure to be a star attraction of the show, the purse sparkles with 4,356 diamonds amounting to a staggering 381 carats.

The limited edition “Enzo Diamante” Opus Siroya Ferrari Book, is also a must-see item at Dubai International Jewellery Week. With a diamond encrusted platinum prancing horse gracing the cover, this coveted book is valued at US $250,000 - only one will be sold in the UAE.

Participants will learn how to recognise important diamond characteristics using the four Cs – cut, clarity, colour and carat – and how to look after precious pieces and keep them safe.
