Azerbaijan photographers to join Tbilisi Photo Festival 2011
Baku, May 25 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan will be represented by eight authors - Anna Suleymanova, Elmar Mustafazadeh, Ilkin Huseynov, Ilkin Yagubov, Nane Gafarova, Natalya Abilova, Nazrin Mammadova, Sevinj Aslanova and Heydar Aslanov with a unite project titled “Parallels” in the second annual Tbilisi Photo Festival which kicks off in Tbilisi today as part of the European Week in Georgia.
The festival is organized by Europe House Georgia and Tbilisi Photography House. A contributing partner of the festival is the Arles Photo Festival (Les Rencontres Photographiques d`Arles). The festival will feature open-air exhibitions of works by Azerbaijan, Georgian, Russian, Turkish, Iranian, Armenian photographers as well as productions of leading photo-agencies, newspapers and news agencies such as AFP, Liberation, Noor, Reuters, MYOP and so on.
Representatives of the Azerbaijan Union of Photographers will take part in the opening of the festival.
Lectures and discussions will also be held during this European Week in Tbilisi. Politicians and artists alike will share their views on the development of cultural ties between European states, and dramatic events shaping the world in the 21st century.
The festival will run till May 31, 2011.
