Azerbaijani table tennis players to compete at Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games

Azerbaijani table tennis players will test their strength at the 31st FISU Summer World University Games to be held in the city of Chengdu, China from July 28 to August 8.
The Azerbaijani team to compete at the Universiade will consist of 88 athletes who will join various sports disciplines.
In the table tennis event, Azerbaijan`s hopes will be pinned on eight athletes including Zemfira Mikayilova, Khadija Abilzade, Sabina Mammadova, Aliya Hashimova, Nihad Mammadov, Ibrahim Ansari, Kanan Panahov and Fakhri Abdullayev.
The Universiade, a prestigious multi-sport event for university athletes, is expected to see participation from 110 countries worldwide. The Universiade is known for gathering student-athletes from around the globe to compete at an international level, thereby promoting friendship and understanding among different cultures.
The Chengdu 2021 FISU Games will feature 269 events across 18 sports.
