Europeans start to built suborbital airline
Baku, April 15 (AZERTAC). Representatives of the European initiative on creation of commercial suborbital airline declared that the first flight will be carried out with Dutch "kosmoportа" Lelistad who is in the closed military air sector nearby the North Sea. Now the coordination with the government and ecological services is spent. As hope in SpaceLinq, in six months the project will enter a phase of building and preparation for the first flight, informs rnd.cnews.ru.
Suborbital plane SpaceLinq does not demand rockets and planes-carriers - it rises in air by means of usual turbojets, and for an exit for a stratosphere uses the rocket engine.
Air tickets on the European suborbital plane plan to sell since June, 2015. The plane will contain one pilot and five passengers. For research missions four back sitting it is possible to remove and put racks with the equipment for experiments or other useful loading. Thus the scientist can occupy a forward right seat. Kosmoplаn for take off and landing will use turbojets, and for an exit in space - the rocket engine on liquid oxygen and kerosene. The suborbital device can gain height to 100 km and be in weightlessness within three minutes. Unique feature of plane SpaceLinq is taking off and landing possibility practically from any commercial airdrome. According to developers, the project kosmoplаnа technically mature also contains a minimum of risks.
In SpaceLinq hope for sufficient demand for suborbital flights. First of all, commercial suborbital vehicles will give a cheap way of start of companions, researches in the conditions of micro-gravitation, and also there is a good platform for scientific work in the field of astronomy, ecology, biology, medicine etc.
