Fuel prices in Bulgaria rise over past week, diesel registers biggest increase

According to data from the specialized platform Fuelo, the most widely used petrol A95 in Bulgaria has increased in price by 0.06 EUR per liter, or 4.62%, over the past week, with an upward trend. On 6 March, this type of fuel was sold at 1.30 EUR per liter, while on Friday its price stood at 1.36 EUR per liter, according to the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).
Over the past week, premium A98 petrol has also risen by 0.06 EUR per liter, or 3.98%, again with an upward trend. While its price on 1 March was 1.51 EUR per liter, it currently stands at 1.57 EUR per liter.
The largest increase has been recorded in diesel prices. Over the past week, the price of diesel has risen by 0.12 EUR per liter, or 8.82%, with a continuing upward trend. On 1 March, diesel was sold at 1.36 EUR per liter, whereas its price is now 1.48 EUR per liter.
Over the past week, LPG has increased by 0.02 EUR per liter, or 3.28%, also showing a rising trend. Its price currently stands at 0.63 EUR per liter, compared with 0.61 EUR per liter a week ago.
The smallest increase has been recorded for methane, which has risen by 0.01 EUR per kilogram, or 0.88%. Its current price is 1.14 EUR per kilogram.
Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov said Thursday that the caretaker government is planning support measures for the most vulnerable groups in society and businesses amid rising fuel prices.
